Progress Report 10/6/17

As always, I’d like to begin this week’s progress report by thanking all of you awesome people who’ve followed, liked and/or commented on my blog!

Days Until Rewrite (October 11)5

Research Progress

I definitely buckled down last weekend. I actually managed to focus enough to finish up with all of the topics on my list, so for now, I believe I am done with research. I’m not naive enough to think that more research won’t be necessary or that other topics may crop up during rewrite, but for now…aahhhhh.

Break TBR List Progress

I’ve finally finished The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtueby Mackenzi Lee and will be reviewing it for Sunday’s blog post. So stay tuned for that!

Thoughts On Leaving My Book Alone

As you can see from the featured photo above, I chose to finally have my manuscript printed on Wednesday. Until then, I would’ve told you it was still easy to leave it alone, as I’ve been a bit busier this week than usual. But having it physically in my possession has made it so hard not to flip through it. I believe I’m strong enough to hold out for the next 5 days, but I guess only time will tell.

Goals For The Coming Week

By the time I write/post my next Progress Report, I will be rewriting the first chapter of my book. So before the 11th, the only thing I’d like to do is read the ARC I have waiting on my Kindle and review it. And maybe squeeze in writing something for fun, just to shake the nervous tension.

Note To Self

You’ve nearly done it, Phia. You’ve nearly let it simmer for an entire month. You’ve done (hopefully) adequate research. You’ve read several books. You’ve continued to write for fun on the side.

You’re a writer.

Now, let’s see if we can take that lump of paper and create some magic.
