Thoughts?
Met my re-writing goal again this week! I’m very proud of the progress I continue to make on my book, even with as busy/tired as I am at the moment.
As far as my other goals for the week, I had to shelve the Crossfire series. A couple of ARC opportunities came my way over the weekend and I feel it’s important for me to continue to read and review those in order to network (even if it’s only a little bit through social media).
That said, I finished and reviewed Benjamin’s Gardens by J. Walther over the weekend. I’ve started reading Snow on the Roof by Sean Ashcroft and I’m gearing up to read A Love Song for the Sad Man in the White Coat by Roe Horvat (remember Dirty Mind? Same author! I’m beyond excited!). I’ve also applied to read another ARC, but as of the writing of this post, I haven’t received confirmation on it yet. Before Christmas Day (the end of my personal reading year – I’ll explain in a future post), I’d also like to read Jenna Moreci’s Eve: the Awakening. As you may remember from my post about her YouTube videos regarding the writing process, I’m a fan of her writing advice and I would love to finally read her own work. These four books, along with my second issue of Fence by C.S. Pacat – if it arrives before Christmas – will round out my reading year at 45 books read.
Goals For The Coming Week
This coming week, I’d like to rewrite Chapters 16 and 17. I’d like to finish Snow on the Roof and begin reading both A Love Song for the Sad Man in the White Coat, as well as the other ARC I applied for (as long as I’m accepted to read it, of course).
Note to Self
Keep pushing, Baisden. You’re doing great!
