Thoughts?

Hey. Remember me? The twenty-something nerd who’s working to complete her first novel by her 30th birthday in 2019? Hey.

But seriously, I want to apologize for my extended absence from this blog. I should’ve written a post declaring that I was going to be absent until the end of the holiday season, but I got so overwhelmed at work that I barely had the energy to do much besides eat, sleep, and work. From about December 19th to January 1st, I didn’t work on my book at all. At the day job, I was answering roughly 100 customer chats and emails per day and after dealing with that, I scarcely had the energy and/or patience to do anything else on the computer for the day. So I let myself take a break from it.

During this time, I did manage to get to 45 books read for the 2016/2017 reading year, which I’m very proud of!

This past Monday, January 1, I began diligently working to catch up on my book and I’ve nearly managed to get back to my original rewrite time frame.

Goals For The Coming Week

In the next week, I’d like to rewrite Chapters 21 and 22, as well as beginning the pre-edit on Chapter 23. If I manage to do this, I will be caught back up to my original rewrite schedule. I’d also like to read both Pet (the new Captive Prince short story out on Saturday!!!) as well as Prince’s Gambit, both by C.S. Pacat. That’s right, folks. I’ve begun my re-read of my beloved Captive Prince series and it’s as amazing and beautiful as I remember.

Note to Self

You can do this. Eyes on the goal, Baisden.
