As always, I’d like to begin this week’s progress report by thanking all of you awesome people who’ve followed, liked and/or commented on my blog!
Here are this week’s stats:
Words Edited This Week: 29,945
Final Word Count for the Third Draft: 61,015
Thoughts?
So, it’s been quite the whirlwind week. The past week has brought a lot of things into my life and I’m so proud that I’ve been able to finish editing my third draft while coping with them.
First, I was on my very first podcast. The Wrote Podcast hosts were kind enough to have me on their show to talk about Credence and writing in general and though it was awesome, I cannot deny how anxious it made me. But it all turned out well and you can listen to the episode I was on by following the link below.
Second, and this was something I was holding off talking about until it was official. Mom and I have put the house on the market to sell. Our house is getting older and it’s getting to be more than she and I can keep up with. We love this house and there are a lot of good memories here. But she’s getting a little older and with the age of the house and the size of the yard, it’s time to let it go and find something a bit easier to manage.
All that said, I worked very hard this past week to be able to finish the third draft so I can get it off to a few beta readers this weekend. Mentally and life-wise, I need the break from writing/editing while mom and I try to weather living in a house that is actively on the market.
Goals For The Coming Week
Since I’ve finished the third draft early, I’d like to get it out to beta readers this weekend. I’d like to pick up a book so I can still have my little bit of escapism during this weird time in my life, but I haven’t picked a title yet.
Credence News
As discussed above, I was interviewed by the Wrote Podcast for their most recent episode. You can listen HERE or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Credence is still doing well, although it’s tapered off a bit. I’m nearing 160 units sold/borrowed and I’ve exceeded 30,000 page turns in Kindle Unlimited. I’m still marketing the book as I can via social media, but with everything going on, I can’t deny that I’ve had to juggle it with everything else. All in all, I’m still very pleased with how it’s doing.
If you’d like purchase Credence – or borrow it with your Kindle Unlimited membership – you can do so HERE.
Note to Self
We’ve been through worse. We’ve created through worse. We’re not stopping now, Phia. We may have to slow down and maneuver around things happening in life, but we’re not stopping. Period.
