Progress Report 10/27/17

As always, I’d like to begin this week’s progress report by thanking all of you awesome people who’ve followed, liked and/or commented on my blog!

Here are this week’s stats:

Words Rewritten This Week: 2,560

Last Chapter of Second Draft Completed: 4

Chapters To Go (subject to change): 21

Days Until January 20th Goal Date: 85

Thoughts?

Had a somewhat less productive week as far as word counts go, but I did manage to meet all but one of my goals from last week. I finished rewriting Chapter 4 and began working on Chapter 5. I completed my first SkillShare class. Unfortunately, I did not finish Dorian Gray. As is the case with many classics that I pick up, it reads a bit stale compared to the more contemporary work I normally enjoy. I fully intend to resume reading it in the future, but for now, I’m moving onto something else.

Speaking of reading, I’ve found my ARC read for November. It’s a holiday-themed read, which I’m very excited for! What better way to put myself in the holiday-spirit than reading about two dudes falling in love?

The biggest thing I need to work on is time management. At this point, with rewriting a book, running a blog, working full time, etc etc etc, I need to take managing my time more seriously than I have in the past.

Goals For The Coming Week

In the coming week, I’d like to finish rewriting Chapter 5 and begin on Chapter 6. I’d like to begin working on another SkillShare class. And I’d like to take some time to enjoy either soft music or silence, just to give my brain a break. The last thing I want to do is burn out before my book is finished.

Note To Self

Think there’s a SkillShare class for time management?
