As always, I’d like to begin this week’s progress report by thanking all of you awesome people who’ve followed, liked and/or commented on my blog!
Here are this week’s stats:
Words Rewritten This Week: 21,109
Final Word Count for Draft 2: 61,577
Days Until January 31st Goal Date: 7
Thoughts?
So, true to form, I’m finished with the second draft of my next book with a week to spare. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t damn proud of myself. When I began this rewrite, I was almost immediately overwhelmed. But I stuck with it and pushed and guys…I made it. At 61,577 words, 258 manuscript pages, and 19 chapters, the second draft is complete.
So what now? Well, I’m going to let it sit for at least a full month before picking it back up. For the third draft, I plan to do a traditional self-edit.
Also, I’m gearing up for the release of my first book, Credence! I’ve got lots of teasers planned. Also, if you’re not already, you may want to sign up for my newsletter, as my first one goes out on February 1st and will include an exclusive (read: FREE) excerpt from Credence. You can do that HERE.
Credence is out on March 1, 2019, and is currently available for digital preorder via Amazon.com, HERE.
Goals For The Coming Week
Since I’ve finished the second draft, I’d like to take it easy for the next week or so. The only thing on my plate is finishing my ARC copy of Terrible Things by Beth Bolden.
